 A costume entirely  embroidered in gold that is still worn by women today on various occasions related to the liturgical or gala calendar.
 The costume is so rich and sumptuous that it seems that women are dressed in gold.
 The original designs created by the expert hands of the nuns of the Collegio di Maria are still used, who taught embroidery techniques to the girls who attended the prestigious boarding school of the College.
 With this publication, conceived by Salvatore Vasotti, we wanted to  pay homage to the Traditional Costume of Piana degli Albanesi with the extraordinary photographs by Alessandro Ferrantelli, created exclusively for this volume. 
 The lyrics  of the historian  Stefano Schirò reveal to us its history and its meaning which represents the identity of the Arbëreshë culture with the language.
