This rvery are and precious photograph of the traditional costume of Piana degli Albanesi in the bridal version was taken by the famous Palermo photographer Giuseppe Incorpora. The presumed period of the photo is between the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Giuseppe Incorpora is undoubtedly the father of modern photography in Palermo and has contacts with the most authoritative photographers of his time such as Gustave Emile Chauffourier, Eugène Sevaistre up to Auguste Lumière, who often came to Sicily and Palermo for the Grand Tour.

The Cavaliere Giuseppe Incorpora enjoys a great popularity in Europe thanks to numerous exhibitions that he sets up in various European cities that celebrate it with success.

There were many political and social personalities who wanted to be portrayed by Incorpora such as Alexandra of Denmark, Donna Franca Florio, Kaiser William II of Germany and King Edward VII of the United Kingdom.

In Sicily all the aristocratic families aspired to be clients of Giuseppe Incorpora, who also portrayed Giuseppe Garibaldi in Palermo in June 1860.

The photograph of the traditional costume in the bridal version is of great beauty and is considered very rare precisely because of the subject. This photograph has the natural charm of black and white but presents a detailed, refined and complex hand coloring which in some places has reliefs to enhance the gold embroidery of the Traditional Costume.

The condition of the photograph is excellent despite showing the normal signs of aging and a small graze is visible under the Savoy shield.

The frame is original and is covered in a precious emerald colored velvet.

It is a very rare and precious piece, suitable for a collector or a great enthusiast.
