La manifestazione liturgica che si svolge la mattina della Domenica delle Palme (Rromollidhet), segue il rito orientale ed è molto particolare. Nella chiesa di San Nicola si svolge dapprima una brevissima funzione religiosa dove avviene la benedizione delle palme e dei ramoscelli d’ulivo, i quali, in un secondo momento, vengono distribuiti ai fedeli. In seguito alla breve funzione, il vescovo in groppa ad un asinello, sorreggendo una grande palma, percorre il corso principale del paese fino alla cattedrale rievocando in tal modo l’entrata storica di Gesù a Gerusalemme. In chiesa, infine, viene celebrata la solenne cerimonia con la presenza di tutti i Papas in rito bizantino.
