 The Portella della Ginestra Memorial, built in 1979-80 by the artist Ettore de Conciilis,  is situated   in the municipality of Piana degli Albanesi.  AND'  visited every year by hundreds of schoolchildren, from  thousands of young people from all over Italy,  who have the desire to discover the history and places of  Door of the Ginestra,   the site  in which the massacre took place  on May 1, 1947.
