We propose this interesting event which will be divided into two days and which has as its theme the 29th anniversary of the Via D'Amelio massacre.
It was organized by the "Association of family members and survivors of the massacre of 1 May 1947" and it will be held right in the spaces of the Portella della Ginestra memorial on Saturday 17 July at 18.00 and on Monday 19 July at 20.30.
On the first day the theme of the meeting, which will be held at the amphitheater of the Memorial, will be "the truths denied by Portella della Ginestra in Via d'Amelio".
With the coordination of the journalist Giorgio Petta, the historian and writer Francesco Petrotta will open the speeches. Followed by Umberto Santino from the Impastato Center and Vittorio Teresi from the Borsellino Study Center.
On Monday, however, Serafino Petta, a survivor of the Portella massacre, will open the second day with an exciting reading of the victims of the two massacres. This will be followed by a minute of silence and the extraordinary lighting of the stones of the Memorial in memory of the Judge and his escort.
A musical moment will follow which will see the participation of the Shega group and finally a projection of a video edited by the scout group of Piana degli Albanesi.
