The collateral events of Holy Week in Piana degli Albanesi are enriched with the exhibition of the exhibition of the works of Loris Guzzetta from March 29th to April 5th in the Collegio di Maria.
Loris Guzzetta has origins from Piana degli Albanesi and studied Applied Arts in The Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. He later specialized in photography during further studies in the United Kingdom. Since then, Loris has worked for clients such as L’Oreal, Ann Taylor, Erno Laszlo NYC, Beauty Blender, Arbonne, among many others in the U.S. and Europe.

Loris has also produced video and photographic content for human rights and public sector organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Public Health Solutions, the National Immigration Law Center, Women's Refugee Commission, Welcoming America and NEO Philanthropy.
Recently, in Palermo, he exhibited his photographic works dedicated to Sicilian confectionery tradition at the Monastery of Santa Caterina D'Alessandria, which houses a traditional confectionery rooted in ancient recipes passed down by the nuns.
Palermo Airport hosted a photography exhibition dedicated to Arbëreshë culture in its check-in area. The exhibition was a resounding success and provided a unique opportunity to introduce Piana degli Albanesi to the millions of travelers who passed through the airport.

Loris Guzzetta wanted to bring his photographic works dedicated to the Arbëreshë Holy Week ritual to his hometown of Piana degli Albanesi and exhibit them at the Collegio di Maria, where the traditional costume was created.
This temporary exhibition was only possible thanks to the great sensitivity of Sister Maria Canicattì, Mother Superior of the Collegio di Maria in Piana degli Albanesi, who enthusiastically welcomed our proposal to host these works in a room adjacent to the Collegio di Maria Museum, which will be exceptionally open to visitors during Holy Week.
I also extend my sincere thanks to Professor Anna Fileccia, Loris's "manager," who has been a perfect bridge between the Collegio di Maria and Visitpiana and the artist.
We look forward to seeing you.
