This icon was made by a local artist and depicts the Madonna of Tenderness, which is one of the most popular and popular subjects in the Byzantine world. The Madonna with an elegant attitude approaches her face to touch that of the child Jesus Christ whom she holds tightly in her arms. Jesus Christ holds a scroll with the law in his hands divine. 
 
The technique for making this icon involves the preparation of the panel which, after the grouting, was painted with a gold background and on this the sacred subjects were painted using tempera natural colors to which are added_cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_egg yolks and vinegar to make the colors lively and persistent over time.
